Many obese people who think they're fit and healthy don't work out at the physical activity level needed to incite significant health changes. But because they have for example, normal blood pressure, they make the huge conclusion leap that they must be in great shape. Thin sedentary people are also capable of this skewered thinking believing that the mere absence of cancer or diabetes automatically means great health. This is like saying that the absence of living in a cardboard box means you live in a palace. According to the American Council on Exercise, body composition is one of several key components of gauging health and fitness. A body fat percentage range of 21-24 is fit for women and 14-17 is fit for men.
A person who appears thin may actually have excess fat in their body, posing potential health risks. This is called "skinny fat" body. Skinny fat people are not healthy.
